Part of the Cold Weather or Luxury Seating Package, a heated steering wheel takes the chill out of cold mornings. A ski bag allows transport of skis or other long items without the risk of soiling the 7 Series interior. Active Support, also included in the Luxury Seating Package, employs two stretchable hollow cavities, filled and emptied alternately with a freeze-proof liquid. The slow, gentle process (about once a minute) creates a cyclical raising and lowering of the cushion's left and right halves by about half an inch, and can be switched on and off as desired. The movement is virtually imperceptible, yet helps relieve fatigue during extended trips. Active Ventilation provides additional warm weather comfort for front seat occupants. The package covers the center backrests and seat cushions with perforated Dakota leather and equips each front seat with a series of tiny fans. These circulate air through the seat at one of three speeds to cool the occupant.
